|P007D – Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit High (Bank 1)|
|Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the CACT circuit for concerns. The test fails when the temperature is lower than the calibrated value for the sensor or an open or short to voltage is detected in the circuit.
Possible Causes: • Damaged turbocharger boost pressure (TCBP) sensor/charge air cooler temperature (CACT) sensor
• CACT circuit open or short to voltage
• SIGRTN circuit open
• Output from the charge air cooler (CAC) is colder than the calibrated threshold
Diagnostic Aids: Check the harness for intermittent concerns, incorrect connections, routing, alterations and damage due to contact with other components.
The TCBP/CACT sensor is a dual function pressure and temperature sensor located on the intake air tube between the CAC and the throttle body.
