We regarded the 2000 model year Tundra as an excellent pickup truck.
It’s comfortable, quiet, handles relatively well and has a super smooth
powertrain. Toyota’s pickup also tows and hauls convincingly. The IIHS
says the Tundra is also capable of good offset-crash-test results, which
is a considerable plus. A crew cab with optional stability control was
added to the lineup for the 2004 model year.

The system must be reset after the engine oil replacement.

Reset the system bythe following procedure:
Engine Oil Replacement Reminder.Light.This light acts as a reminder when to replace the engine oil. This light will come on when the ignition key is turned to “ON” and will go off afterabout a few seconds. When you drive for about 7200 km (4500 miles) after the engine oil replacement, this light illuminates for about 3 seconds and then flashes for about 12 seconds with the ignition key turned to the “ON” position. If you continue driving without replacing the engine oil, and if the dis- tance driven exceeds 8000 km (5000 miles), the light will come on after the ignition key is turned to “ON” position. The light will remain on thereafter.

If the light is flashing, we recommend that you replace the engine oil at an early opportunity depending on the driving and road conditions. If the light comes on replace it as soon as possible.

STEP 1 . Turn the ignition key to the “ACC” or “LOCK” position with the odometer reading shown.

STEP 2 . Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position while holding down the trip meter reset knob.

STEP 3 . Hold down the knob for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates “000000” and the light goes off.

If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing.

3 Easy Steps- Toyota Yaris 2012-2018 Maintenance Reset

While other subcompacts have become more pleasant and
rewarding, the Toyota Yaris remains spartan and humdrum. Efficient fuel
economy of 32 mpg overall keeps operating costs low, but that’s the end
of the good news. Acceleration is slow, partly due to an antiquated
four-speed automatic transmission. Tidy dimensions make it easy to park,
but handling suffers from numb steering and excess body lean. Quick
abrupt pitches disturb the ride and engine and road noise permeates the
cabin. The lack of a telescoping steering wheel forces you to stretch
out your arms to drive, and space for your left foot is meager. Two
adults fit in the rear seat, but the basic front seats prove
uncomfortable.

Resetting the maintenance required reminder light

After the required maintenance is performed according to the maintenance
schedule, please reset the reminder light.

To reset the reminder light, follow the procedures described below:

STEP 1 Switch the display to the trip meter “A” when the engine is running.

STEP 2 Turn the engine switch to the “LOCK” position.

STEP 3  While pressing the display change button ,turn the engine
switch to the “ON” position (do not start the engine because reset mode
will be canceled). Continue to press and hold the button until the trip
meter displays “000000”

3 Easy Steps -Toyota Yaris 2007-2011 Oil Changer Reset

Reliable and economical, the subcompact Yaris is Toyota’s least
expensive car. Fuel economy is excellent, with a tested 32 mpg overall
in the sedan with the automatic transmission, and 30 in the hatchback
with the manual. But that’s about where the good news ends. An awkward
driving position forces you to drive with arms extended and legs bent.
Cheap fit-and-finish and an annoying center-mounted gauge cluster feel
cut-rate. Acceleration is adequate, but engine drone intrudes, making
the car very noisy inside. At least the ride is compliant and handling
is reasonably responsive. Emergency handling is secure with the
stability control that became standard in 2010, though earlier models
without it could be a handful.

After changing the engine Oil

The oil change system should be reset. Perform the following procedures:

STEP 1 Turn the engine switch off with the Trip A reading shown.

STEP 2  Turn the engine switch to the ON position while holding down the ODO/TRIP button.

STEP 3 Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays 000000.

If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing.
